Two Visions

I am wanting to create two visions.

The first is a wholesome dance space/community (see previous blog for details) that gathers at least once a month and eventually weekly to dance and move the body. I would love for people of all ages to join in and feel safe within the community and the dance space to move their body.

Examples of this exist in Encinitas on Sundays and Tuesdays and then in San Diego on Fridays. For those that are interested in contact improv this style appears at the above spaces as well as Laguna Beach first Saturday of the month and in Santa Monica on Sunday evenings. To learn more about Contact Improv check out www.lacontactimprov.com

The second vision is to create a curriculum of dance and movement for kids (ages 5-18) in the community. A curriculum that allows them to learn about their body through their body.

For this I need more education and support from others that may want to participate in such an endeavor. This is a common idea within art and culture and the community and grants are readily available to support such endeavors.

As an individual, my background is in Massage and Bodywork. I have been a massage therapist for 7 years now and have been dancing for 1 1/2 years. A lot of my work has been with adults, yet I do massage children as well. I am now ready for this new adventure to work with people through movement!

Thank You,
Earth Dancer

Dance Fallbrook

Are you ready to Dance?

Calling All Dancers. I am organizing a Fallbrook free-form dance community, that allows diversity in all its creation. Dancers past, present and future, all ages and skill levels invited. This is about you as a dancer and us as a community uniting, playing and having fun...Let's Dance!

Here is what I need to bring this vision to life: 1. A place to dance. Hard wood floors are preferred. The times, dates and consistancy is pending those of you that want to join in the creation of this. 2. A stereo system. 3. People who want to dance!

With a little help from the community, I feel this is a simple endeavor filled with fun and we get to dance!

Thanks,
Earth Dancer
